My cute baby turned one last week. It was such a wonderful day.
He was so distracted by his balloons. Why yes, those are 1st birthday balloons. Who says the baby doesn't get anything special (never mind it was the ONLY package of balloons left at Wal-Mart on Saturday night. Haha)
He does this cute thing with his hands anytime he wants anything. He also LOVES zucchini muffins. He was going nuts waiting for us to sing to him.
Yum! He devoured THREE of these for breakfast plus a banana!

He was extra adorable at church. To the point, I couldn't tell you a dang thing that was said in Relief Society. And before I get any flack, yes that is hand sanitizer. Yes, I wiped the top off with a wet wipe, no he is NOT drinking it, nor do I use it on him.
That night we had Mike's parents and his sister, Sharon and Joe's family for dinner. We did home made pizzas, watermelon, and salad. We had fun making the pizzas together. It was delicious and after picking off the cheese, Spencer LOVED it! He devoured his dinner. Happy Messy baby. :) We had to have a bath after dinner.
Even though we have some awesome cake decorators, I felt bad having an ice cream cake for a dairy free baby. So I made him one. It's supposed to be a dinosaur. I was going to make the head and tail longer, but ran out of time for it to be frozen all the way to piece it all together. This is out of order, but too cute not to add.
Present time. He had LOTS of helpers. This is the only picture not completely crowded with helpful kiddos.
This microphone was the favorite toy, by a long shot.
When Mike took it away to get it out of the packaging, he went nuts.
Happy again with it. We added batteries to this chair that has not had working batteries in oh, 4ish years. He sat there dancing to his microphone and his chair. Adorable.
And he needed bath #2. :)
Spencer is such joy around here. I'm so glad Heavenly Father is in the details and Spencer is a part of our family. He makes me so happy. He's finally mastered the stairs, is standing alone, but not walking, and knows a few signs. He LOVES books. Specifically animal books with photographs, not pictures. He gets really excited about books and makes this cute giddy sound. He still sucks his thumb, but for the most part only when he has his blanket. And it's usually just in his bed or car seat. A few times out shopping, I haven't taken his blanket and instead of just popping in his thumb and going to sleep, he just is fussy. He loves music. He dances no matter what he's doing. It's so funny. He also loves a messy room. When you put him on the floor with one or two toys, he looks at you and starts to cry. Plop him in the middle of a messy playroom or living room and he's happy forever. He's generally a very happy happy baby as long as no older sibling is torturing him. We love our Spencer!!!
