Mike and I were talking about how we hadn't actually done much around Spokane. Part of that has to do with the fact in the 11 months we've lived here, it's been winter for about 8 of them, but the other part is we just haven't done a good job about looking for and doing what there is to do in Spokane. SO, when someone told me about Greenbluff, we HAD to go! Mike, however, didn't actually want to go.
We live in fruit country, where just about everything delicious grows. Greenbluff is a loop full of different farms and orchards of all sorts of fruits and veggies where you can go pick your own. There's lots of fun things to do at the different farms. It is also gorgeous! Yes, that's why Mike didn't want to go. "That's what farm hands and grocery stores are for." He stayed home with Michael which was just as nice. Isabelle and I had a good little mommy/daughter date to go pick strawberries and check out Greenbluff for future reference and fun.
Isabelle and I had a blast! She bit into one and said, "WOW! Mom, this is full of delicious juice."
We came home with 8 pounds of absolutely delicious strawberries. Red all the way to the center and so sweet. Thanks to my handy helper, we ended up with some not quite ripe and lots of tiny ones, but we had fun anyway. She claimed Kitty liked green strawberries and that's why she picked some that weren't all the way red.
