I Don't Brag Enough...
About my mother in law. I really could not ask for a better one. She stayed an extra week after Mike's dad left and so it was just us. Unfortunately, as I said in the last post, the weather was horrible! Isabelle was sick and Mike was out of town, but we still had fun. She is just pleasant to be around. She's always happy, optimistic, and easy to please. She is happy to sit and play and read with kids for hours. She does all my dishes while she's here. She helps with meals and bedtime and is up for games when kids are in bed. Really, who doesn't want her around?! While she was here, I got naps, long showers, and read a book. While Mike was out of town, we watched a chick flick and did a puzzle. The rest of the time, we just played with kids (often in jammies). She's so patient and the kids just love her. She's also been helpful in parenting my little Michael. He is his father's child. He turned out pretty dang good. I'd be wise to take notes and keep asking questions.
My father in law always loves to take us out to eat because he knows I LOVE to eat out and rarely get to, and he doesn't want to make me have to cook. We went to Joe's Crab Shack in Daytona Beach. He doesn't even like seafood, but knows the rest of us love it! He's so generous. Also while he was here, he was constantly looking for ways to help us, working on projects and playing with the kids. He loves to play games and we always have a good time with them!!!! My kids love the fun things they do with grandpa, making brownies, playing trains, fixing toys, and dollar store trips.

Grandma bought the boys swords. We LOVE them!!!! The boys have fun. I've learned not to be eye level and it's lots of fun!

Isabelle got a little jewelry bead set. She made a bracelet and necklace. Her and grandma had a good time making them together.

Finally two days before she had to go, it was FINALLY nice weather and Isabelle was better! On Monday, we went to a park for a bit and enjoyed the outdoors.

Tuesday was the zoo! Jacksonville's zoo is a great kid zoo. It was perfect weather and a good way to spend Grandma's last day.

We are so grateful she's willing to stick around an extra week and put up with us! When I told Michael it was time to take her to the airport, he pouted with the cutest little faces, "But I dust wuv bam-ma doe much! I have de best bam-mas ever, her and Texas Bam-ma." My kids are some of the luckiest call her grandma!!!!

Poor Sick Girl
My little Isabelle has been so sick! She had a high fever, no other symptoms, for 4 days. Of course it was while Mike's mom was here, the weather was crappy, and Mike was out of town. Last Thursday night, I thought if she wasn't better in the morning, it was doctor time. Well, of course she bounced out of bed and was fine and went to school, but then Friday night she got sick again and it lasted until Sunday night. She woke up Monday morning perfectly fine and is all better. Looking at all our pictures from last week, she looks so miserable! Is it bad I LOVE when my kids get sick as long and poop or puke isn't involved?! She was snuggly and still, and just lounged around. We watched too much tv, stayed in jammies all day, and still had fun anyway.

Bundle of Cuteness
No, Luke is not my favorite kid, I don't have one, but I do post alot about him now because he's changing so much! He is just a bundle of cuteness right now! All day I just look and smile at him.
Had to sit just like grandpa.

He loves to be the monster baby. He is the destroyer and loves every second of it (Isabelle and Michael, not so much). He climbs on everything, even just a book, and stands tall with that "look at me!!!" face. Here he is king of the geo trax train station. He looks like he owns the world.

He constantly carries his shoes around and wants to be outside all the time. I put his shoes on him and he runs to the door expecting to go out. He pretty much always has his shoes on (notice picture above). He also finds sippy cups soothing. Even empty. It started I thought he needed a drink, but he just tucked it under his arm and fell asleep. It's become a regular occurance. If he wakes up at night, I give him an empty sippy cup and he goes back to sleep....so strange!

Also lately, he loves Mike's tools. He finds them and has quite the grip and scream to go along with it when you try to take them away. It's not just screw drivers and pliers, although those are the regulars. Mike had his drill out, set it down for a second and when he turned around it was gone. So when Mike is working, I'm on 100% baby duty, NO distractions!!!!
He loves to dance. He wiggles his one elbow and moves his feet super fast. Anytime there is music he starts moving. I love this little boy and the sweetness he brings to my house. He still gives the best baby hugs!!!!!!

Daytona Beach
After Disney, we drove to Daytona Beach that night and spent 2 days there. I have almost no pictures while we were there, but once I get Mike's mom's pictures, I'm sure I'll have more to add. She's a much better picture taker.
We had popcorn and the seagulls went crazy. They literally swarmed us, close, and by close, I mean CLOSE!

There was also miniature golf at the place we stayed. We had fun with that. Isabelle so so funny. "I like to put the ball closer to the hole." And then she'd put it like a foot away from the hole.

We enjoyed the beach, indoor pools, attempted the outdoor pools, but we got a northern wind that was cold and super windy. We walked on the boardwalk and enjoyed some restaurants and games. It was a fun fun weekend!!!!!!

The Kid in Me
Mike's parents were here last week and we took the chance for a little vacation. One day we went to Disney World for a day. Growing up we loved Disney music and the movies and when I was in 6th grade, we took a family trip and spent a week at Disney World. It was so fun. I've been able to go a few other times and every time, I love it! This time was no exception! Last time we went, Isabelle was Luke's age, so it was fun to take my own kids that enjoyed the magic of it all.
Luke did not like the monorail in. He was scared to death! HA!

The pictures are bad, but the favorite ride, must be documented, Dumbo.

By the end we were exhausted, but I didn't even care because it was a fun exhausted!!!!
