Late Christmas, in a nutshell

Our final gingerbread product. This was the first year I did it completely solo without my mom. It took 3 phone calls to mom, a lot longer than I thought, and I made the icing too thick so it looks extra sloppy, BUT we had a blast and that's all that matters!

We got an early Christmas present from my sister Melanie. She sent us a box with some presents and PACKING PEANUTS in it. Boy was that a joy in our household for a good few hours and then we are still reliving the memories as we are STILL finding them all over the house. Isabelle and Michael were hysterical rolling around and screaming and playing. It was fun.

We decided last minute we were in fact going to go to Mike's parents. By last minute, I mean Wednesday afternoon and Christmas Eve was Friday. So we got in early Christmas Eve morning 2am and slept. Had a good relaxing morning with Mike's parents and got ready for his big family party for Christmas Eve. Isabelle got new Christmas jammies from Mike's parents.

We put out our stockings and cookies and milk for Santa and crashed!

The next morning was nice and slow. We were the only one's at Mike's parent's so it was all when Isabelle decided to get up, which happened to be close to 9. That's when Christmas should happen. It was great. We opened our presents and had our yummy Christmas morning tradition breakfast.

Michael's favorite present...the Cheerios box that Mike's shirt was wrapped in.

Isabelle's favorite present, her "Blue finger paints!" She also got a camera that didn't work. Mike and I were bummed. She had a good time playing with all of Michael's trucks, train and a ball.

Monday, all the rest of Mike's siblings came to his parent's house and we had the rest of Christmas. Then all the extended family went bowling and had pizza. We had a great time and then we headed home. It was a short quick trip, but fun.

Isabelle is looking so grown up. She looks like she is 5. You got some really cute pictures though. :) love you!
