We got in another camping trip. Two in two weeks! Off to a much better start than last year. We combined the Hiawatha Trail and some camping. We camped right below the start of the trail. We got there and got camp set up and dinner going and the kids had a blast running around. It was perfect! Until the rain hit....but then as far as rain goes, it happened at the perfect point, right between dinner and s'mores. We waited out the rain in the trees and under umbrellas for a little over an hour. The kids ran around in the rain and got drenched, but had so much fun. Once the rain stopped we got the fire roaring again and warmed up and mostly dried out, and enjoyed my favorite part of camping, s'mores!
A soaked Isabelle and Josie and then s'mores faces. This is Isabelle's best friend. She was ecstatic to get to camp with Josie and family.
Lincoln and Michael were playing chase around the truck. Lincoln is almost a year younger than Michael, but size wise they are pretty close. It was absolutely adorable.
Luke was a trooper in his back pack. The lighting was weird and I kept messing with my camera settings. I never got it super sharp. Oh well, cute faces anyway.
All the kids actually sitting still eating their muffins the next morning before the trail.
Josie, Michael, Lincoln, Isabelle, Luke, and Conor.
Everyone slept awesome and then the kids played around while we got the bikes all ready to go. We packed everything up and rode up to the trail. It was great to just leave all our stuff and let it dry out a little. After the trail we came back to let stuff dry in the sun and let kids play more and then headed home. It was a fabulous camping trip!!!!
