Yay!!!! Camping!

We got our first camping trip of the year in last weekend and hope to make it more often this year. Last year we went once....only once....Granted we had a super busy month last year and by time it was over, I was having a baby.  Anyway, I realized for the last 5 years of camping I've either been pregnant or had a crawling baby camping...I can't decide which is more work, oh yes I can....a crawling baby.  I don't care about the dirt.  Kids get dirty.  It's the constant digging rocks, pine needles and other such choking hazards out of mouths. Trying to keep them contained, yet letting them explore too. All in all, it's worth it if it means we get to camp!

We went with Mike's old college roommate and family, Bart and Kellie. We went in the Cascade mountains and had a great time.  We were in a secluded place by a river with a plethora of rocks to throw and woods to play in. It was awesome!

Let's see you get 6 kids to all look at a camera when there are bugs to be caught, trees to explore, and hot dogs to eat.

Everyone had a blast but Kellie, poor thing about broker her ankle on her way to bed Friday night.  She didn't get a great night of sleep and couldn't put any weight on it all day Saturday.

Saturday morning we played and then packed up and took a super long drive through the Wenatchee Forrest, stopped for some Mexican food, and then headed to Bart and Kellie's house.  We hung out with them all afternoon.  Bart took the kids and me lawn tubing...yes lawn tubing.  A boating tube + a 4 wheeler on a huge lawn = AWESOME!!!!!  We all loved it.  Pictures to come when they make it to my computer. Jake always loves the farm and runs like crazy. (why is this highlighted? I can't get rid of it)

The evening ended with HUGE fireworks.  We drove where we could see the fireworks and they were awesome. It was almost an hour long! Isabelle got in the truck after a bit and had to put on her sunglasses because they were "so huge and bright!" After it was over, Isabelle said, "WOW!  Those were the best fireworks I've seen in 15 years!!"  Mike and I about died laughing. :)  After the show, we headed home and made it to bed a little after 2am.  So exhausting, but so much fun!
