My Awesome Angler

Mike has gotten to do some cool stuff with work.  One event last month was participate in a charity fishing tournament for Cystic Fibrosis called "The Oldest City Red/Trout Classic.  It was a two day tournament catching red fish and trout (among other things as well).  He won the whole thing!

Day 1.  He sends me pictures like this during a work day and it makes me chuckle. How about that for "working?"  Even if he did have to get up at 4:30 am to do it.


Day 2.


This was the group of guys he fished with.  The captain of the boat, his good friend Chris from work and Mike.  The trophies were artwork. He actually won 3 pieces of art, but only had 2 hands for the photo.  Haha.   He won "Grand Master Angler," "Grand Master Team Anglers," and "Most Red Fish Caught."


He had a blast.  He came home sunburned and exhausted with his arms full of shirts, hats, bags, etc and his awards.
